About Me

Pamela opened her private therapy practice after working with youth and their families in Marin County, California. She specializes in providing therapy to children, adolescents and their parents. Some may be experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional regulation or problem solving. During school or at home, peer or sibling relationships, disruptions can change our paths. With over twenty years of experience, she works collaboratively with parents, service providers and school officials to create individualized plans to address problem behaviors, alleviate stress and improve relationships.

After providing therapy through nonprofit and governmental agencies, she has brought her clinical expertise to her private practice in Sausalito. Prioritizing the therapeutic alliance, she uses client centered and cognitive behavioral therapy through a strengths-based perspective.

Pamela offers an empathic, non-judgmental space for clients to feel safe disclosing their struggles. Her strengths include acceptance, understanding and validation while helping clients reach solutions. Whether clients present in crisis or transition, Pamela’s skills and strengths address her client’s needs, create an action oriented plan and support systems for success in therapy.

While teaching evidence based social emotional learning in Marin school settings, she worked with students and teachers to identify and regulate emotions, learn coping skills and increase classroom cohesion. She worked with parents to support their youths and created behavioral treatment plans that would identify triggers, question thoughts and feelings and improve peer and family relationships. She provided individual, group and family therapy.

Pamela also has experience with individuals and couples who may be struggling with pregnancy loss and infertility. She has worked with many clients while building their family through adoption or foster care. As an adoption coordinator for Adoption Connection, she supported adoptive families and biological parents in their adoption journey. There can be challenges that are unique to adoptive and blended families. Pamela has the experience necessary to guide families through these challenges

Pamela lives with her partner and two teenage children in beautiful Marin County. She enjoys hiking, reading, traveling and community service.
